Teaching Method
Based on my observations, during the learning process my Cooperative Teacher (Ms. Fritz Ongcoy) teach Entrepreneurship subject used the Student Center Learning method. This method prioritizes student participation in class, such as question and answer and group work as well as field practice. During the learning process, the teacher will always appreciate the students by giving words of compliments and support such as "very nice" or "Great".
Learning Materials and Innovation
During class, my cooperative teacher teaches using materials from books and also online teaching materials. The teacher will use Canva slides (PPT) in presenting the material and Google Classroom to attract students' attention and make it easier for students to learn the material and can also take examples for students. In addition, teachers also add pictures and videos from YouTube to achieve learning objectives.
While I observed my Cooperative Teacher (Ms. Fritz Ongcoy) in preparing the material before entering the classroom. She has prepared the material to be taught as creatively as possible by using Canva technology and teaching materials in the form of interesting videos and after that group discussions.
The group learning method of discussing and solving problems is very interesting because each group has different skills that can be developed, each group discussed a business plan for entrepreneurship day in December. Groups discussing the products they will sell in the future.
Sources of Learning and Technology
My cooperative teacher uses the Grade 11 Entrepreneurship textbook in the library to teach. Sometimes she also uses literature that can be obtained from the internet, such as international journals and online books. She usually uses PPTs or videos to present the material.
Authentic Assessement
During my observations, there are several authentic assessments used in class such as Q&A, group presentations, quizzes, and presentation assignments. All their grades will be recapitulated at the end of the quarter. Quarterly evaluations are given to evaluate what they have learned from the lessons. This way, the teacher will be able to know their knowledge and can improve what needs to be improved.
